Is this a Canada Jay? I had never seen them before just the last month (I live in East Multnomah County). My wife saw some up on Mt. Hood when she was snowshoeing last month. Then, just a couple weeks ago, there was one in my yard. And last weekend I saw some further north in the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula. Are these common around the Portland area? Or becoming more common?
We watched your presentation with the Portland Audubon Society recently and loved it! I love birds and have always been fascinated with corvids. 🙂
